Tsumeb Municipality workers have downed tools following failed salary and wage negotiations between the Namibia Local Authority Workers Union (NALAWU) and Council  for 2025/2026 financial year.

Parents are strongly encouraged to accompany their children to school to guarantee their safety in light of roaming elephants, and they should refrain from attempting to interact with these animals when they come across them during their journey to or from school.

The former Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF), Kennedy Kandume, has clarified that his resignation was a personal rather than a forced decision.
This follows the reintegration of the fund into the Ministry of Education.
