An increase in cancer cases has placed tremendous pressure on the Oncology Ward at the Windhoek Central Hospital.

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) has officially kicked off with the training of polling officers countrywide today and is expected to end on the 23rd of November. 

In the |Khomas Region, 290 polling officials from Windhoek Rural attended the training. 

The National Youth Council's (NYC) ||Kharas Regional Coordinator, Emma Abed, is calling on youth groups in the regions to register their organisations and renew their affiliation with the national youth body in preparation for upcoming constituency youth elective conferences. 

The Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security, Albert Kawana, has inaugurated the Kaoko-Otavi Correctional Facility Project in Opuwo Rural Constituency.

The ||Kharas Region also commenced with the training of polling officials.

The weeklong training that will focus on the secrecy of ballots and the importance of the election is being attended by close to 300 officials.
