Historic rifle at centre of |Hai |Haua TA dispute

A Mauser rifle and a walking stick that were used by the late Kaptein Andries Goliath have become a bone of contention between one of his descendants and the recognised |Hai |Haua Traditional Authority.

Goliath, who was the 5th Kaptein of the clan, ruled from 1926 until he died in 1933.

Onesi Constituency Councillor Festus Petrus has warned community members of Onesi and surrounding areas to exercise caution after a crocodile was spotted at Etaka Dam.

The Etaka Dam is situated in the Onesi area in the Omusati Region and stretches 14 kilometres from north to south.
