The Landless People's Movement (LPM) held its rally for the upcoming Guinas by-election in Tsintsabes on Saturday. 

Addressing the crowd, LPM's  Chief Change Campaigner Bernadus Swartbooi said the party is against the incorporation of the Guinas Constituency into the Nehale Constituency. 

Swapo's Political Bureau member, Frans Kapofi, has called on party members and supporters to vote for Moses ||Khumub in the Guinas by-election scheduled for next week.

Kapofi spoke at a mini rally at the Ondera Farm.

Malaria cases in the Ohangwena Region reached high numbers between September 2024 and the 5th of January, with 1,888 cases recorded over that period.

Of these, 844 were local and 1,044 non-local, with cases ranging from as young as six months, to 101 years.

The African World Heritage Fund (AWHF), a UNESCO organisation, held its 2024 board meeting in December to outline its plans for 2025. The AWHF supports African countries in implementing the World Heritage Convention.
