Thunderstorm damages homes in Aranos

 A thunderstorm struck Aranos in the Hardap Region on Tuesday, causing the roofs of several residents' homes to blow off. 

Wind-borne pieces of the roof sheets struck two children, causing them to sustain minor injuries. 

Namibia lifts horticulture export ban to South Africa

The ban on horticulture exports to South Africa has been lifted.

 Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water, and Land Reform, Inge Zaamwani, has confirmed the resumption of exports as of Thursday, October 23; previously withdrawn trade permits have also been reinstated.

China pledges respect for Namibia’s sovereignty in ongoing cooperation
