The Omusati Governor Immanuel Shikongo says the launch of Namibia's first-ever Youth Fund is a step towards economic emancipation.

2 teams from Vocational Training Centres (VTCs) in Namibia will take part in the Africa Skills Week programme in Ethiopia next week.

The programme is aimed at boosting skills in technical and vocational fields to respond to changing needs of the labour market.

About 2,000 trees have died at the Lignaverda Reforestation project at Siya village in Kavango West. 
Around 3,000 tree species were planted in February this year in an effort to restore degraded landscapes. 

The Minister of Environment, Forestry and Tourism (MEFT), Indileni Daniel, has stressed the importance of preserving and planting trees, highlighting their ecological, climatic, social and economic contribution within the ecosystem.
