Iceland’s District Prosecutor has concluded a five-year investigation into the fishing giant Samherji regarding its alleged involvement in the 'Fishrot corruption scandal.'

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is yet to address the nation on the first 100 days of her administration and says she is ready.

Dr. Nandi-Ndaitwah mentioned this as she urged the regional governors to set a new tone of governance and to engage with the civil servants.

The Public Service Commission has affirmed its support for President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah's vision for the development of the country, as well as the need for effective public administration.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has called on Namibia’s regional governors to be unifying figures in their communities and to strengthen collaboration with local stakeholders.

Namibia was the only country whose classification moved downward this year, from the "upper-middle income" to the "lower-middle income" category.

The country's cry of many years has now been heard by the World Bank.
