2019 Rugby World cup player Darryl de la Harpe announced his retirement on NBC's Absolute Rugby show on Friday evening. One of Namibia’s most senior national players announced his retirement from the game. "Officially I am retiring so you have heard it first. No club Rugby, so hopefully I can give back my experience and all that I have learnt and everything" de la Harpe. De la Harpe played 51 caps for Namibia, kick-starting his career back in 2010 against Russia on home soil. Since then he has scored a total of 10 tries for Namibia. The last game he played was against New Zealand in the just ended Rugby World Cup. He mentioned that coaching is definitely the plan for the near future.
