The Brave Gladiators are gearing up for the upcoming COSSAFA Championship that will take place from the 12th to the 22nd of September. According to their coach Brian Isaacks, the girls are well-prepared. “Our target is to make sure we progress beyond the group stages and if we accomplish just that, then anything can surely happen, it will be a 50/50 chance to either make the semi - final or the competitions final, despite the absence of Women football league, the girls have been working hard to make sure their fitness level is at par “Isaacks said. Zimbabwe return to the competition as defending champions, having claimed a record fifth COSSAFA Cup title in South Africa last year. They will face the winners of Group B in the quarterfinals, which include powerhouse Angola, Botswana, Mauritius and Malawi.
