One of SKW’s Under-19 Football team’s player Moses Mbetjiha, is appealing for financial assistance to make the trip possible to Germany in May 2018. The team will take part in an International youth tournament in Velen, Germany from the 19th to the 21st of May 2018. The trip to Germany will be a second for the SKW youth academy's under-19 team, having done so in 2015 already. For Moses Mbetjiha, the dream to travel with the team hangs in the balance, unless some good Samaritans come on board to help him financially. NBC Sport discovered that the young Mbetjiha is the only one of the 19 touring players that is still to pay his travel fees, which amount to a staggering 16-thousand Namibia dollars. Mbetjiha has only 6-thousand dollars at his disposal and need the rest to be on the plane to Germany with his teammates. “The trip is very important to me for, my family, my team mates and my country. This is the only team in Africa that is going to take part and this is the second time and we are still undefeated. I will give my hundred percent and I will need a person to assist or sponsored my ticket. I promise to make them proud” Mbetjiha said. His single mother Annastacia Mbetjiha added to her son’s appeal for help – stressing that the money will be used for a re-turn ticket, Football kit and pocket money. “I know that this tournament will help my son and he will perform as he promised. He will prove himself and give his utmost best” she said. His coach Mike Sinvula explained the importance of the trip and why Mbetjiha should not be left behind. “Moses is a very energetic and hardworking, dedicated player. He plays right back and defence as well as midfield. He can play more than one position. He is a crucial player to our team. With him in the team he adds fire power and he makes us much stronger at a back as well as forward. If somebody can support Moses, I will appreciated it very much, because they will be doing Namibian Football justice” Sinvula said. Anyone who is willing to assist, can contact Ms Mbetjiha on 0814063789 or 0818990972 or the NBC Sport desk for more information. The team will leave on the 9th of May and is expected back on the 22nd of May.
