Namibia ready to host Inter Africa Equestrian Cup in Gobabis

Windhoek-Namibia is ready to host the Inter Africa Equestrian Cup at Gobabis from the 10th to 13 May 2018. The Inter Africa Nations equestrian Cup will take place at the Duneside Stud on the outskirts of Gobabis from the 11th to the 13th of this month. Press Officer of the local Organising Committee Frauke Roeschlau shed more light on their readiness. “Everything is going according to plan, close to 6 Countries have confirmed their participation with Namibia targeting to win the tournament. International Equestrian Federation president Ingmar de Vos will be arriving on Friday to be a part of this big event. The Namibian Warmblood Society will be presenting a Young Horse event at this tournament” said Roeschlau. Apart from Namibian teams participating in all three disciplines, the following countries have already confirmed their participations: Team Mauritius in Show jumping, Botswana in Show jumping, Dressage and Endurance, South Africa in Dressage, Show Jumping and Endurance with Zambia in Dressage and Swaziland in Show Jumping. Last year the event was hosted by Botswana.
