To make sure that no one is left behind in terms of accessing information, the Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA) donated 120 braille booklets to the Namibian Federation of the Visually Impaired (NFVI).

The donation consists of a customs procedure with traveller's guide information and the taxation of individuals.

The Commissioner at NamRA, Sam Shivute, says the donation aims to build an inclusive society and allow visually impaired people easy access to information.

"When you work with taxation, taxation, and customs, those are some of the core of the work that we do. Namibians require more information on taxation and customs procedures than this obligation to engage our stakeholders and raise awareness of the work that we do so that people and members of society understand their obligations and rights as far as taxation or customs issues are concerned."

The Braille Proof Reader, Mwangelwa Sinengela, says the booklet will provide them access to first-hand information.

"For those of us who are visually impaired, we fall in love with reading because we are so privileged that even when it's dark, we read, we read under our blanket, we read everywhere."
