The Landless People's Movement (LPM) missed its target of having 71% youth representation in the parliamentary list and has instead reached only 45%.
 
LPM announced its list of 92 candidates for the National Assembly at the electoral convention held over the weekend in Windhoek.

Landless People's Movement (LPM) leader Bernadus Swartbooi has informed the National Assembly of his intention to table a motion that would see the recognition of historical Damara and Kavango traditional leaders of the colonial resistance period of the German reign.

The LPM is the latest to condemn the killing of Elleste Plaatjie allegedly by two police officers. 

Plaatjie succumbed to injuries he sustained after he was allegedly beaten by Nampol members attached to the Special Reserve Force at Keetmanshoop.
