A 27-year-old Namibian man is expected to make his first appearance in the Katima Mulilo District Court on Monday on a charge of attempted rape of a 12-year-old girl.

Four people were arrested in connection with housebreaking during a joint operation between NAMPOL and the City Police today.

The suspects were found busy breaking into a house in Khomasdal's Dater Street.

Cases of housebreaking, particularly in schools and churches are on the increase in the Kavango East Region.

Deputy Commissioner Bonifatius Kanyetu revealed this during the display of goods confiscated at Rundu, mainly stationary from schools.
