Two women who were arrested after they were allegedly found in possession of drugs worth over N$100,000 were denied bail in the Keetmanshoop Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

Police in the Otjozondjupa Region have arrested two men, aged 44 and 39, in the Omatako area, Tsumkwe West, as they were going to deliver another consignment of cannabis.

The drugs found on the suspects consist of 24 parcels of cannabis valued at N$123,000.

A Namibian and Zambian national appeared in the Katima Mulilo Magistrate's Court on charges of being in possession of elephant tusks.
