Residents of Omatjete and surrounding communities will no longer have to travel long distances to access NatTIS services following the launch of the NaTIS on Wheels Truck there. 

Residents of Divundu and surrounding areas in the Kavango East Region will now be able to access mobile communication services after MTC opened a mobile home in the town. 

Before the introduction of the new mobile home, locals had to travel 200 kilometres to the nearest facility in Rundu. 

Fixed-line subscriptions continue with a downward trend as more Namibians are now using mobile telecommunications services.

MTC has announced that a power failure at the coastal town of Swakopmund that damaged one of the fiber ducts has been restored.

The power failure affected the West African Undersea Cable services, resulting in voice and data services being affected in the entire Erongo Region since Sunday.
