Mental health and social support during disease outbreaks can be challenging, as governments are often unprepared to address such crises. 

Health professionals in both private and public hospitals have been advised to focus on delivering high-quality healthcare and treat patients with compassion.

The Deputy Minister of Education, Arts, and Culture, Faustina Caley, says the release of more health professionals into the healthcare system is hoped to narrow the shortage of health workers in Namibia.

She was speaking at the graduation ceremony of the Alba Chipamba Training Centre (ACTC) at Rundu.

The University of Namibia gave the country its first cohort of 16 dentists.

The university held its graduation of health professionals in various disciplines and fields from the Faculty of Health Sciences.
