First official results, announced by the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) Chairperson, Dr. Elsie Nghikembua, showed that Independent Candidate Paulus Mbangu retained his seat as Rundu Rural Constituency Councillor for a second term. 

The Kayengona Clinic is the only health facility within the Rundu Rural Constituency, and plans are underway for it to be upgraded. 

These were just some of the sentiments shared at the belated independence celebrations at Mbambi village in the Kavango East Region.

Residents of Uvhungu-Vhungu and Mutengo Mukuru villages now have clean water following the drilling of boreholes in the area.
