Christians across Namibia marked Easter Sunday by commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, viewing it as the cornerstone of their faith and a source of renewed hope.

Ongwediva Elcin Parish was filled to capacity as Christians gathered to observe Easter.

Congregants sang hymns, prayed, and received holy communion, reflecting on their renewed faith.

They reflected on the enduring message of sacrifice, compassion, and salvation that this holy day represents.

The Easter holiday is one of the most remembered periods in the Christian calendar, as it marks the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 

This period is also about family bonding through various activities.

The Hossiana Lutheran Parish in Windhoek joined Christians worldwide on Thursday, 25 December, to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
