Pharmacists are not celebrated as much as other healthcare professionals due to misconceptions that they are simply salespeople rather than healthcare providers.

The Governor of the ||Kharas Region, Dawid Gertze, has hailed pharmacists as unsung heroes for their role in ensuring essential medicines are available in the health care system. 

The Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) has taken the decision to directly procure pharmaceutical and clinical items from suppliers due to challenges with unreliable supplies.
