China has committed to provide grant funding to Namibia to construct houses for Namibian police officers.

This follows the bilateral talks between President Nangolo Mbumba’s bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping.

The Inspector General of the Namibian Police Force, Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo, has warned police officers not to use a lack of resources as an excuse to not respond to public calls when reporting crime.
