Lung disease binds Olga Ngola to oxygen machine

Earning too low an income can present a variety of problems for families, with access to health care being the most complex and prevalent.

38-year-old Olga Ngola worked as a domestic worker until an interstitial lung disease robbed her family of an income and subjected her to an oxygen machine.

Ngola was diagnosed with interstitial lung disease almost four years ago.

The disease describes a large group of disorders, most of which cause progressive scarring of the lungs and eventually affect one's ability to breathe.
