The Deputy Minister of Marginalised Communities in the Ministry of Gender Equality, Poverty Eradication, and Social Welfare has revealed that 1,173 cases of child neglect have been reported since last year.

Child marriage, child neglect, and people taking the law into their own hands are some of the prevalent issues in the Kavango East Region.

This was revealed by some law enforcement officers in Rundu.
