The Otjozondjupa Regional Council has resolved to update a database of unemployed and skilled persons to absorb some into government projects undertaken in the region.

The move follows a recent community demonstration at the Kalkfeld settlement where they demanded jobs and better services.

The mayor of Okakarara in the Otjozondjupa Region, Siegfried Tjehiua, has expressed satisfaction with the land servicing aimed at transforming the town, which includes the development of a Central Business District (CBD).
