From the battlefront to the honours list. 

Namibians who took part in the fight for freedom have now received the country's salute ahead of the Heroes Day commemoration on Wednesday. 

President Hage Geingob has commended Cuba for assisting Namibia in her fight for liberation without expecting any reward.

Therefore, having the President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudes, as the guest of honour at the Heroes' Day commemoration is befitting.
