Oshana police have arrested two suspects in connection with a housebreaking at Oshakati Mayor Leonard Hango's residence during the recent festive season.

The President of the Namibian National Mayors Forum, Leonard Hango, has called on local authority leaders to strengthen unity, cooperation, and mutual respect among municipalities, towns, and villages.

The Oshakati Town Council has upgraded the Uukwangula Settlement to a township after acquiring the settlement from the Oshana Regional Council.

The township will now benefit from all municipal services. 

More than N$400,000 was raised at the Oshakati Totem Expo gala dinner to raise funds for the event's success in December.

The Oshakati Totem Expo began in 2012 but was halted in 2022 due to COVID-19.
