Kavango stakeholders call for MVA funeral grant to rise to N$50,000

Stakeholders in the Kavango East and West regions propose that the Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund increase its funeral grants to N$50,000.

The proposal was made during a consultative meeting held at Rundu by the MVA Fund to amend the Motor Vehicle Accident Act 10 of 2007.

Jackson Kaujeua Junior, son of the iconic Namibian musician the late Jackson Kaujeua, died in Norway this morning after a long battle with cancer. He was aged 46. 

Chief Inspector ||Naobeb laid to rest in Otjiwarongo

The Namibian Police, together with other mourners, joined the family of the late Police Chief Inspector Riche Karel ||Naobeb in Otjiwarongo to lay him to rest.

||Naobeb, who was the Head of NamPol's VVIP Presidential Escort Division, died last week while on an official mission in Rundu, aged 49.

A farmer in the Okorukambe Constituency, Republic Ngahahe, is facing eviction from Farm Ozombahe, as he is not from the area.

Farm Ozombahe belongs to the residents of Omitara; however, Ngahahe, a native of the Otjinene Constituency, spent three years there.
