The US-based Africa-America Institute (AAI) will honour the legacy of Namibia’s late President, Hage Geingob, during its 40th Annual Awards Gala in New York on Tuesday evening.

The Annual Awards Gala is a premier event celebrating the achievements of Africans and the global African diaspora.

As a mark of respect for the late Namibian leader Hage Geingob, various countries around the world have directed that national flags be hoisted at half-mast.
