The youth gathered in masses at the Independence Arena in Katutura to pay respect to the fallen statesman, President Hage Geingob.

The presidential advisor on youth matters, Daisry Obal, Minister of MICT Emma Teofelus, and National Youth Council of Namibia (NYC) Executive Chairperson Sharonice Busch are among the attendees. 

A memorial service was held in honour of the late President, Hage Geingob at the Independence Arena in Katutura, with tributes and messages of admiration from various speakers.

The Executive Chairperson of the National Youth Council, Sharonice Busch, expressed gratitude for President Geingob's support of the youth and his belief in their potential, while Carol ||Garoës, Special Advisor to the Pan African Women Organisation President, praised the late Geingob as an effective administrator and a man who cherished peace.
