The Namibian Correctional Service in the Hardap Region held its fourth annual cultural festival on Friday under the theme "Preserving Our Heritage for Future Generations".

Members of 34 Damara sub-clans from across Namibia came together in Windhoek for the 2026 ǂNīsa Damaradi ǂGaeǀhaos, celebrating Damara heritage, traditional attire, music and cultural unity.

In a touching display of solidarity and cultural support, the Aukoredi visited the former First Lady Monica Geingos to offer their condolences and provide her with traditional Damara attire for mourning. 

The gesture was aimed at honouring the local customs and traditions.
