The online visa application system, launched by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security on Tuesday, has already attracted hundreds of tourists.

About 200 visa applications have been approved through the online process so far.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (Namfisa), Kenneth Matomola, has raised concerns regarding the current regulatory framework, saying it hampers Namfisa’s ability to fulfil its mandate.
