Four Namibian women from Oshikoto Region who returned home from Vredendal in South Africa’s Western Cape following anti-illegal immigration protests have thanked the government for arranging their safe repatriation but say they now face unemployment and need assistance to restart their lives.

First-time recipients of the N$600 Conditional Basic Income Grant (BIG) in Karasburg expressed joy at receiving government financial assistance.

The initiative, replacing the food bank, aims to reduce financial hardships for the unemployed and boost economic stability.
