The Grootfontein Hospital mortuary has been keeping 133 unclaimed bodies of babies and a number of adults since May 2017.

The hospital says it has been struggling to locate families as well as land to conduct burials.

Swapo Party Member Natangue Ithete has assured the residents of Grootfontein of improved development and service delivery, given the mandate through the by-election on 17th June.

The party fielded Nelao Amagulu as its candidate in the Grootfontein by-election.

The Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Economics and Public Administration, Natangwe Ithete, says a well-functioning public administration can address issues such as unemployment in the country, economic disparity, reduction of poverty, and prevention of exploitation of workers.

An oversight report, presented by the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Economics and Public Administration, Natangue Ithete, has revealed significant shortcomings in the management and security of Skeleton Coast Park in the Erongo and Kunene Regions.
