Minister of Urban and Rural Development James Sankwasa has rejected the Rundu Town Council’s decision to extend the CEO, Olavi Nathanael’s contract for another five years. 

Erastus Uutoni, the Minister of Urban and Rural Development, described the late Founding President Dr. Sam Nujoma's legacy as a beacon of hope for the current and future generations of the country and beyond.

The Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Erastus Uutoni, has urged the Uis community to unite and work together to develop the settlement. Unity, he adds, is important for the growth of the settlement and, notably, for advocating the return of Uis to local authority status.

Concerted efforts from both the public and private sectors, as well as the community, are needed to address the housing shortage in the mining town of Oranjemund. 

The Minister of Urban and Rural Development, Erastus Uutoni, commissioned the groundbreaking for the construction of 85 housing units.
