The Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) has dismissed rumours circulating false information about the detection of monkeypox (Mpox) disease in Namibia in a social media post.

The personal physician of the Founding President, Sam Nujoma, has dispelled rumours that he has died. 

Dr. Tshali Iithete informed nbc News that Nujoma was hospitalised last week but has since been discharged.
