SWAPO Party member Reinhold Shipwikineni has issued an apology to the party following a High Court ruling.

The Swapo Party Regional Coordinator for ||Kharas Region, Mathew Mumbala, has reminded party members that unity and camaraderie must prevail within the party. 

He said this during the opening of the party's regional executive meeting held in Keetmanshoop. 

During the opening ceremony for the third session of the 8th parliament, Speaker of the National Assembly, Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila, urged MPs to work in solidarity irrespective of their political differences.

The Swapo Party's extraordinary congress, set to take place this weekend, will elect a new party president following the death of Dr. Hage Geingob in February last year.

However, there is a concern about the position of Vice President, which will be left vacant.

The Swapo Party's Coordinator for the ||Kharas Region, Mathew Mumbala, has expressed gratitude to the electorate, especially in ||Kharas, for their support, which secured the party's victory in the recently concluded national elections.

The Swapo Party Vice President has directed all party members and supporters to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner ahead of the national elections on November 27.
