Public transport operators say the constant increases in fuel prices are stretching their budgets to breaking point.

Many operators and other drivers the NBC News team spoke to say the latest increase in petrol price of N$1.50 adds to their already strained earnings.

Petrol prices and those of both diesel grades will go down by N$1 per litre, effective 2 October.

The Ministry of Mines and Energy announced on Tuesday that fuel prices for August will remain unchanged.
