Three Namibian films have been nominated for the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards in Nigeria.

The nominated films are Lukas by Dr. Phillipe Talavera; Skeleton Coast by Mondjila Studios; and The Walvis Tale by Tim Hubschile. 

There is a need for more Namibian stories in the film industry.

These were the sentiments of the chairperson of the Film Association of Namibia (FAN), Byron Joseph, during an interview with the nbc.

The just-ended Film Week has unified Namibian filmmakers and fostered collaborations. 

Filmmakers unwound and reflected on the week during a closing ceremony in Windhoek.
