THREE DIE IN OMITARA–OTJINENE ROAD CRASH

Three people died in a car accident on Friday along the Omitara-Otjinene road.

They have been identified as Tjeripo Tjeripo, Vandjeka Kutuouvi; and Vezemboua Hiuii.

The deceased were travelling in a minibus that had 15 occupants and was en route from Windhoek to Otjinene.

NEKUNDI OPENS ARIS RIVER BRIDGE BYPASS ROAD

The Minister of Works and Transport, Veikko Nekundi, officially opened the Aris River Bridge bypass road between Windhoek and Rehoboth.
The project saw a total investment of more than N$17 million.

To reduce and ultimately prevent road fatalities during the festive season, the National Road Safety Council has launched the 2024-2025 Road Safety Campaign in Tsumeb.

Deputy Minister of Works and Transport, Veikko Nekundi, emphasized that most road accidents are a result of user behavior.
