The Windhoek Magistrate's Court has denied bail to the NAMDIA diamond robbery accused, Joel Angula, ordering that he remain in custody until his trial is finalised.

Angula was arrested on 19 January 2025, a day after the daring robbery occurred.

The bail application of NAMDIA theft accused, Joel Angula, commenced on Tuesday in the Windhoek Magistrate's Court.

Angula is one of the suspects in the NAMDIA heist, where 412 parcels of diamonds were recorded missing from the safe.

The bail application for the NAMDIA heist accused Joel Angula has been postponed to 27 January. 

Joel Angula and Sam Shololo, accused in connection with the January 18 NAMDIA robbery, appeared in the Windhoek Magistrate's Court this morning.

The prosecution informed the court that some witness statements are still outstanding and that investigations are ongoing. 

Joel Angula (45), one of the suspects implicated in Saturday’s diamond heist, appeared before the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court today.

Angula faces multiple charges, including one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and possession of uncut rough diamonds.
