As Namibians prepare for the upcoming elections, 63-year-old Godfried Kuhanga from Otjiwarongo expressed disappointment with the youth's growing reluctance to vote, urging them to take the process seriously and show up at the polls.

Keetmanshoop Rotary Club President Benedictus Diergaardt has urged the residents to embrace a spirit of service to help build a united community. 

He made the call during a donation handover of mobility aids to the elderly and people with disabilities at Keetmanshoop.

Involving youth in clean-up campaigns could be an effective way to engage them and encourage participation in national events.

This was shared during a panel discussion held at Rundu, in preparation for the upcoming National Clean-up Campaign.

Vice President Lucia Witbooi has urged young people to register and participate in the 25th of November's Local Authorities and Regional Councils elections.

The supplementary registration runs from the 4th to the 19th of August. 

Last week in the National Assembly, AR MP Tuhafeni Kalola proposed that Namibia should lower the voting age from 18 to 16.
