Long-distance transport operators reported satisfaction with revenue collected over the Easter period, even as rising fuel prices squeezed their profits.

Stakeholders in the Kavango East and West regions propose that the Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund increase its funeral grants to N$50,000.

The proposal was made during a consultative meeting held at Rundu by the MVA Fund to amend the Motor Vehicle Accident Act 10 of 2007.

The Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund has expressed concern over the rise in pedestrian-related crashes and fatalities across Namibia, particularly in the regions of Kavango East, Oshikoto, Omusati, Oshana, and Zambezi and |Khomas.
