The U.S. State Department has announced that all foreign nationals applying for student and exchange visitor visas must make their social media accounts public as part of new vetting procedures.

The United States Department of State has placed Namibia under a Level 2 travel advisory and has encouraged its citizens to "exercise increased caution" when visiting the country due to rising incidents of crime and concerns related to health.
