The Minister of Justice and Labour Relations says expanding social protection to workers in the informal economy has emerged as a key government priority.

He said this on a message delivered on his behalf at an International Social Security Forum on Monday. 

Unfair dismissals and retrenchments account for the highest number of labour complaints filed.

This was revealed by Labour Commissioner Kyllikki Sihlahla during an interview on the One-on-One news show.

The Minister of Justice and Labour Relations, Wise Immanuel, told Parliament that a group of employees assigned to Walu Fishing have not received their salaries since October last year.
