Omushiyo Mixed Farm, located in the Oshikunde Constituency of the Ohangwena Region, is celebrating a second successful potato harvest.

Working from a rural setting, the Omushiyo Mixed Farm is a shining example of how small-scale agriculture can drive economic growth, create jobs, and fight poverty.

It is potato harvesting season at Sikondo Green Scheme in Kavango West, and the acting farm manager said they are expecting a large harvest. Let's have a look. 

For the first time, a large-scale harvest of commercial potatoes kicked off under the watch of the Omukwaniilwa of the Ondonga Traditional Authority at Okashana Agri-nest, located in the Omuthiya Constituency.

The vision to ensure food security and combat unemployment is yielding positive results.
