Bail applicant Bino Cloete has testified under cross-examination that his brother and co-accused, George Cloete, deposited large sums of money totalling close to N$2 million.

The duo face charges of violating the Prevention of Organised Crime Act and illicit trafficking under the Diamonds Act. 

Detective Inspector Pendukeni Nghuluwa informed Magistrate Wilka Amalwa that the sale of drugs continued at drug accused Naomi Fisch’s house even after her arrest.

Detective Inspector Pendukeni Nghuluwa, this morning, testified that there are serious allegations that a Rehoboth resident died at drug-accused Naomi Fisch’s house while doing drugs.

He said bail should not be granted, as these allegations are still being investigated.

Malakia Elindi, one of the accused in the alleged NAMCOR fuel corruption case, took the witness stand on Thursday after his brother Peter Elindi completed his testimony. 

He submitted a financial declaration showing assets worth more than N$113 million.
