The Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism has recorded 1,2 million hectares of land burnt by wildfires, totalling 1,300 fire outbreaks countrywide in 2025.

The International University of Management (IUM) and the Namibia Nature Foundation (NNF) have signed an agreement to strengthen collaboration in research, conservation, environmental education and sustainable development.
