A cataract surgical campaign was launched at the Katima Mulilo State Hospital.

The campaign brings hope to hundreds of patients suffering from preventable blindness.

The Rundu Intermediate Hospital is still faced with overcrowding, leading to congested corridors and long waiting times, compromising service delivery.

The hospital caters for patients from the Kavango East, Kavango West, and Zambezi regions, as well as neighbouring Angola.

For residents of Gibeon Village and nearby farms, access to medical doctors means long travel distances to the nearest hospital in Mariental, since the village is served only by a clinic staffed with nurses.
