Namibia is using ANGOTIC 2026 to strengthen digital cooperation with Angola while exploring new opportunities to expand connectivity, innovation and digital transformation.

The Minister of Works and Transport, Veikko Nekundi, and the Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Emma Theofelus, have given e-hailing services 56 days to comply with national transport laws and permits.

Service providers in the ICT sector are intensifying efforts to expand infrastructure, aiming to bridge the digital divide and enhance connectivity. 

The Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Emma Theofelus, has called on the ICT sector stakeholders to collaborate in advancing digital inclusiveness to boost economic growth. 

She made the call during a high-level stakeholder engagement held in Mariental in the Hardap Region. 

In 2024, the country's telecommunications licensees collected about N$1.6 million in revenue, contributing 2.5% to the GDP.
