The City of Windhoek (CoW) has urged the residents to handle the fireworks responsibly in the celebration of the new year to avoid injuries and damage to properties. 

Residents are urged to take precautions with fireworks and follow all the safety tips to ensure a secure celebration of the new year. 

The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) held a strategic meeting with auditing firm Grand Namibia, which was appointed to guide the corporation's transition from the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) framework.
